Urban harvesting in Hackney this Autumn

Hundreds of tonnes of fruit go to waste every year in London, in public parks and private gardens. Feedback wants to change that in collaboration with Urban Harvest (north London), and continuing the good work of Hackney Harvest, aiming to collect and breathe new life into this delicious fruit.

Here’s how you can contact Feedback and get involved:

• As the owner of a fruit tree in Hackney or Haringey, you can choose to donate fruit to local community groups and good causes. Feedback can bring volunteers to help harvest this fruit from the tree; alternatively, if the fruit has already been harvested, can collect this – or direct you to a nearby drop-off point. Please fill in this form.
• If you have spotted a tree laden with fruit in a public space, such as on the street or in a park, you can report it using this form.
• As a keen volunteer, you can help harvest this fruit from gardens around Hackney and Haringey. Sign up here to learn more.
